I actually don’t think Fauna was expecting to have been right in killing ERB. I think she just wanted to make sure she actually got to use her vigilante ability (for the content), and just went off of the first flimsy evidence she saw and the fact that she thought ERB was a cop, and just happened to actually kill the right person on accident. Notice how she initially assumed she was gonna have to kill herself at first for killing an innocent, but then somebody behind the scenes told her she actually killed the right person.
