After listening to the three songs multiple times. I think I have to conclude with liking to listen to MEDA's the best even though I thought I would enjoy CULUA's more. I figured CULUA's verses would be different, not to say I didn't like them. NEUN is thematically different from MEDA and CULUA so there isn't much of a comparison there. One thing I do wonder if there is a bias from listening to MEDA first and CULUA's last during the initial listen.
CULUA's BEBI.DEBI is really fun to listen to. At least, on first impressions I had that feeling. Then after listening to it while thinking about the lyrics. I realized it's more than a simple fun song with a catchy chorus. The very first line is perfect. 誰とも遊んじゃダメ Ah頭の中君だらけ. I also like the English parts, they work well like in them like "Could you shoot 脳内ハッピー Make up make upビームビーム". Definitely want to hear more from CULUA after listening to that song. Catch very cute CULUA dancing in her MV when you got the time.
NEUN's Engelslied is great. The song hits really hard emotionally. The intertwining of German is subtle, but helps break up the pacing and beats of the song since it's rocking intense the entire time. The lyrics are incredible even though it's quite simple. I think it's way NEUN sings them that gives a more powerful emphasis. The "それでも存在する意味があったことを" and "今溢れ出してゆく" parts for example. NEUN's always depicted well in her visuals, her MV is another addition to that.
MEDA's Sing-ularity feels like a song that completely fits to her voice. The more I listened to it, I can't imagine how anyone else could sing the song in such an enjoyable manner and tone without MEDA. BEBI.DEBI felt catchy, but Sing-ularity is even more catchy than BEBI.DEBI. Maybe in a different way? All I really know is that Sing-ularity's verses built up slowly and transition into the chorus which falls back down is such a beautiful progression. It's like a constant rollercoaster where it eases off then on and you can enjoy it forever. I especially liked the way MEDA sang these lines. "三日月の夜 響かせた歌が あの空へ続いた時" and "二つの針が重なる黎明." An important bit to the ending to Sing-ularity is that it gives this unfinished or longing feeling that if you loop the song, relates back to that enjoyability I was talking about earlier. Not just the lyrics. It's the instrumentals too. The MV for this song had a nice color palette, but it feels like something is missing. I do always like the effects they use for lyrics. Sing-ularity has good emphasis in its MV.
