>>109701343I was one of those people who went from indiekek to hologod.
The first vtuber I saw was Mori (I saw r34 of her in some discord server and I searched her up kek) but "vtuber" didn't really register to me because I didn't know what that concept was and I thought she was just an animated musician like K/DA.
The second vtuber I discovered was Numi and this actually registered to me as "vtuber" because I was mainly watching clips of her and I was watching her on twitch and from there I knew about her orbit
The third vtuber I discovered was Gura. Again looking at how big Gura was I didn't think she was a vtuber but some anime character and I discovered her when I was searching up some shark song and this came up

https://youtu.be/3N0YLRunmEQ?si=9S32SAA7BmVuAB1wI saw Gura and Mori again in some AMV I watched where they were fighting each other and I think from there that was my last interaction with anything related to hololive until 2024 (The events above span from 2021-2022). Enter 2024, I was mainly watching indies and I gained interest in hololive when I saw a clip of Nerissa talking about her baby fever and some comments were talking about the contrast between how she and Kronii talk about babies. I searched up the clip of Kronii talking about babies like they were a whole other species and then I got a lot of powerwash simulator clips from Kronii. I indie watch time reduced significantly. Then I started watching full nerissa and kronii vods whilst watching indies on the side. I discovered Raora and the rest of Justice. My indie watch time reduced to clip watching. That nuclear sinder drama opened my eyes to the contrast between CGDCT and the indie space so I just abandoned the twitch vtubers and stuck to the youtube ones. Wait whilst I was typing this I realized the first vtuber I actually discovered was Korone
