I must say two things about Ice Grenades

they feel like much too strong of a panic button for something that's on cooldown and available from the getgo (compared to BFG/Unmaykr/Crucible trio) and the swap between them and frags feels much less intuitive than weapon mod swapping
I guess they probably just feel like a must have on higher difficulties

Me enjoy the BFG streams because she is (I think). It gives me some degree of pipkin that she refuses to learn how to use escort scanning. It will really bite her in the ass later against dark eldar who are perma stealthed. If enemies are hidden, your guns are not shooting at them backing long range weapons/squadrons semi pointless.
Shes also hard crutching on bomb/nova spamming. Fortunately this is a failry viable tactic early game.

To be fair though a lot of early fps games are kinda shit. Without nostalgia Quake and Doom both are kinda shit games. The Best thing ID ever did with the Doom franchise was turn it into a DMC esque shooter where you get rewarded for comboing the demons.
Doom 3 is still one of my favorites in the franchise for being proto dead space but even then it requires a ton of work to get into unless you play the shittier BFG edition

Pound the iron while it's hot huh.
Hades could be fun though Erina's not a must-watch IMHO.
Only the best of the best of the best of the best make Biped watchable. It just takes too much attention without being high stakes enough.

Oh really? I downloaded some mods to fix the issue. I had no clue you could just console commands. But either way, you're probably right and she'll do the shitty BFG edition. God I hate that doom 3 got so much shit, it was a legitimately good game.

You don't necessarily need the source port to get Doom 3 going, just a couple of console commands can get it running at full speed and widescreen. But even that will probably be more than she's willing to do, and it'll just be easier to go with the BFG edition.
