although it is kind of an inevitable feature since BFG at max cells can only fire 15 shots, good slaughter maps leave an abundance of cells everywhere, the difficulty is more about keeping up well-placed DPS, corralling enemies and managing space. i wouldn't say there's any true slaughter in JPCP, it's all fairly vanilla; you know the basic keyhunts, backtracks, enclosed fights, traps
she's struggling with ammo more from bad habits (overkilling, wasting ammo pickups when you're almost full, shotgun inaccuracy at long range, no berserk punching, no rocket splash damage utilization) than the maps being stingy. JPCP isn't exactly super generous but not stingy either, I think it's very middle of the road. she's even playing continuous so she's always bringing leftover ammo with her to the next level instead of a pistol start.
