everyone seems to forget that Jesse is a fucking massive piece of shit who does more unprompted, unjustified evil shit than Walt ever did. Jesse is just out there "being the bad guy" for the sake of it, Walt may operate on pride but most of his actions in the series are a forced hand backed into a corner.
How about the time he manipulated some poor fat naive Indian girl into trading gasoline (and cigarettes) for meth instead of just fucking paying for it? Not only risking getting caught (which endangers Walter his former partner and others) but lying to her telling her meth being bad is just media propaganda.

But there's this whole fucking retroactive in-hindsight demonization of Walter that even carries over to how he's portrayed in a flashback/forward scene in Better Call Saul where he's being an obnoxious insufferable science man redditor with Jimmy about the time machine.
