1) Be a pirating website, and get your ass sued to oblivion when you get caught, disappear with the money and never go on the internet ever again. Anime sites do this
2) Whoever owns the property is a bro and just doesn't give a shit. (This is most indie games and some western companies)
3) Ask for permission to make a penny of their product,
For 3 there are 2 ways of doing it
1) "hey can i use this?" "Sure go ahead"
1b) Keep in mind this is unofficial and if you make TOO much money they absolutely can lawyer up and turn this around
or 2, the cover way of doing it ) Get fucking everything in written contract form saying exactly how the permissions work and what the person can or cannot say on stream.
If you want a cover style permission you need in writing the following:
1) Can i make money using your product
2) It doesn't matter how long, or how short the product use is for or how much money is made
3) This contract cannot be destroyed and the money cannot be called for even if a major yab occurs
4) This contract cannot be destroyed amd the money cannot be called for even if I tell people your product sucks ass live
Etc etc, wich each point being negotiable.
The worst part is, because japan has no fair use laws, this also applies to MODS
So if you use a mod and it makes money, the mod owner can ask for a shekel even if the base game gave permissions
So they have to get a written "Even if I seig fucking heil on the stream with your mod you can't take my stream down" levels of contract to use a mod. for EVERY mod and EVERY person involved in creating the mod.
