They’re the same person for me. I can watch vtubers I know are married, but I wouldn’t oshi them. I don’t want them to bring up uncomfortable stuff on stream, but I wouldn’t stay if I found out myself either. I know how they look like, but it doesn’t really affect me. It depends on the vtuber. If the vtuber decides to separate themselves from their RM, I will do the same. If the vtuber is just an avatar for the streamer, I will do the same.

I mean vtubing is no different from wrestling, really. It's like allowing the fact that "The Undertaker" is just some tall dude from Texas and not a wrestling necromancer/ devil / evil spirit color your opinion of his in ring work. Hell, even streamers are like that too with most of them trying to depict exaggerated versions (although I'm not sure about this newer ones). It's the reason why I don't get why so many doxfags keep trying to shove the whole RM discussion and treat it like some gotcha/dealbreaker thing. It just comes off like some teenage thirdie discovering the google search bar for the first time and trying to show off.
