If you're invested in working hard to make things happen there's nowhere better to be, if you're checked out and just want stream once every week or two and collect passive income, the meetings make your life a lot harder than you wish it was.
They're lucky enough that their shelf life isn't cut short like most idols, but moving on to something else is a positive thing too. Most of the biggest idols don't have "idol from X group" as the highest point in their career. They move on to do other great things for themselves, while actually owning them.
>>103448587But you may not want to be doing dance moves at 40 anymore, it's not just about difficulty. If FWMC would want to explore producing their own VNs, being in Hololive is a debuff. It's a requirement to have their own VN, about them, but if they just want to be creative producers of brand new stories unrelated to the IP, there is literally zero benefit to do that under Cover. Many more creative restrictions and you have to share the profits without even using their IP to sell. And being creative producer is a full time job, there's no time left for idol reps if you're doing that.
Idols who become voice actresses, star in musicals, become movie stars and stuff like that, you think they have time to be performing with their group still? You have to make choices.
