>>102922580>>102922679Not him but that's a stupid ego thing. This shit was figured out a long long time ago with Kizuna Ai and trying to replace her VA. Vtubing requires both the person behind it and the character, one doesn't work without the other. Especially for women, they think a 2D avatar isn't the real them, but meanwhile put on 5 inches of makeup and get a bunch of shit done to their hair nails etc. Why doesn't everyone just walk around naked so they can be their true selves all the time?
To be fair it is fairly common to see this in all fields. Once people reach a certain level of success they stop being content. This usually manifests in 2 ways. Either they want MORE success than the level they have reached or they want the same level of success but on their own terms this time. Brainworms infect them when really they should just shut up and be grateful they made it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Kevin Durant left the Golden State Warriors to prove he could win a title without Steph Curry. That failed spectacularly. Tom Brady left to prove he could win a title without the Patriots or Bill Belichick. That worked out for him.
Regardless it's really fucking stupid to resent how you got success because other people will do that for you FOR FREE anyways. You think Michael Jordan seethes about how he got Scottie Pippen for cheap allowing the Bulls to build an incredible roster over the years?
Humans have this inane obsession with "the real self" when in reality that shit changes all the fucking time. If you're doing something every day, constantly, then that's you. That's why I hate RM projects with a passion because it's bullshit. These girls think that the work they've done and shit they've put in doesn't matter because it's not their real name. Meanwhile everyone knows who Mark Twain is, and I don't think Samuel Clemens gave a shit that his "real name" isn't on defining pieces of literature over a century later. Just be grateful because that line of thinking cheapens it for the fans who wholeheartedly support you and your activities.
