>>97091507Eh, it barely qualifies as a take it's more raw speculation. There's one thing I'm sure of however - a parasocial inner circle will inevitably devour itself and fall apart, because those guys are all orbiting the same sun from too close a proximity. They are all each others enemies and rivals, fundamentally, and that will inevitably lead to conflict and massive drama down the line. If however you are a fan, or even a highly noticeable fan (say a clipper, fanartist etc.) you are still standing at a respectable distance as a part of the overall group and admiring the star(s) along with them.
The atmosphere among the "inner circle" will inevitably become stifling, rigid, ossified and they will all seek to keep each other in perpetual check until they can filter out this or that individual. This is not a good place to be in, or a desirable situation. They will all seek to perpetually one up the other guy and firmly establish orthodox beliefs about the girl, a dogma, for which they will punish those who criticize her or deviate from it. It's a TVA situation in a way.
In other words yes, you can be the girls intimate friend - but if you are you know her as she is, as a flesh & blood person and not a vtuber fan. If you are the "inner circle" of a vtuber you're in the above mentioned cold war with the rest of the circle. And a true fan will never play those games.
