>>110007950When I saw Bratt being announced as part of the guests in ReCOLOR, I thought Bae’s performance with them would be with just the two of them, and I was already freaking happy with that. And then they brought another blue brat into the mix, one who had done a cover performance of this particular song before with both Live (Sora, Calli, and Hajime) and Stars (Rio and Hakka) before, so yeah, I found even more fun there, and I’m very much enjoying Bae having been cheeky and clever about planning that! Also, Calli isn’t only another one of the members Kobo was with in that particular Cyberpunk Dead Boy cover, she also accompanied Bae and Lui-nee in performing the Asteroid song HIT ME UP, which is one of my two top favorite ReCOLOR performances, the other being the aforementioned Cyberpunk Dead Boy performance with Kobo, Izuru, and Astel. And speaking of that Cyberpunk Dead Boy performance even more, said song’s songwriter Maiki-P had already left a praising comment about it under the ReCOLOR VOD.
And Izuru continues to amaze me with how well he dances, especially for a guy who’s easier to see as a singer-songwriter VTuber who does music streams with instruments with regularity. Even more than Rikka, honestly, and I like Rikka more than Izuru. And I still fondly remember when Izuru, Sui-chan, and Astel upgraded their vocal cover of Ayase’s Cinema to a vocal and dance cover during a New Year’s countdown concert, a performance I got humbled and honored by again when a trio of idol ladies from my country performed that particular Cinema performance’s dance while opening the Cosplay Mania 2025 JAM Concert. I guess Izuru Kanade has been inspiring my efforts to learn and do more dancing more than I thought, then! Also, I still remember that one Valorant collab where Kobo was a cutely shy fangirl around Izuru. And when Iofi, while finishing up a Stars concert watch-along stream, noted having mentioned Izuru as her favorite holo when she was applying for holo. And to think that we wouldn’t have had Izuru pushing through with his debut and more if Miyabi hadn’t pushed through with his own…Man, I love supporting HOLOSTARS as a whole as well.
As for singing with the opposite sex, I feel very fortunate that I’ve been able to produce covers where I do that, though I don’t think I’ve been as skilled about it as I like to think. Still, the Stars especially inspire me there, such as Octavio with his prolific duet covers with female VTubers outside holo and Astel even being able to rock Giga’s CH4NGE with VSPO!’s Qpi on stage. Though more than those two examples, I remember Aniki being in a vocal cover of Shishi Shishi’s Hollow with Lui-nee, Sui-chan, Sara Hoshikawa, and Minato Fuwa, hahaha~ Man, I wanna sing well with my fellow dudebros more, too…
