Cover hates giving out major redesigns and they have only done it for Holostars (Astel, Vesper, and Aruran) or with rare situations in Hololive (Nenechi, Flare, and IRyS). IRyS did say that if a talent can't get a redesign before their 3D showcase that it becomes far more difficult. Kaela was able to get a redesign after her 3D showcase but it didn't happen in Hololive until 2025. The visual update with Ayame felt like a compromise in which Cover would make a few small changes to their default outfit (longer skirt, more clothing, etc) but wouldn't force them to jump through all the hoops for a major redesign.
