Why are KFP like this?
>I'm a bit curious about the system Vtuber agencies use for their talents' new 3D outfit allocations. From what I know, Hololive uses a mostly project based system for 3D outfits, with talents having Sololives or involvement in certain projects (like HoloError or HoloWitches) able to commission or receive related 3D outfits. In addition, they are also able to use their Million sub milestones wishes to receive/commission new 3D outfits. For new 2D outfits, it seems to loosely follow a gen-wise allocation (with multiple exceptions like Gen 0 which only has 1 2D talent). From what Astel mentioned, there also seems to be a resource system which is allocated to the branches, but I'm not certain this is connected to the new outfits or not.
>I heard Nijisanji has some type of lottery system for their new outfit/Live2D make up, but I am not too knowledgeable on the details. VShojo seems to not have a set system, and talents can commission a new model at their convenience. For other agencies like VSPO and NeoPorte I haven't followed enough to notice a pattern.
>The reason why I bring it up, is because I heard some opinions on Hololive's system being more restrictive on FanMade models (such as Kiara's) or special occasion models (I think it was Korone's ambassador outfit?), in addition to being more biased to certain talents (Like Suisei having a lot more 3D outfits than even some 3D-only talents). Of course, as a Hoshiyomi myself, I think the outfits Suisei has are well-deserved, as she has continued pushing the boundaries in her Sololives and Music endeavors. However, considering the strict requirements (with even very successful talents like Miko needing to improve metrics before her 2nd Sololive is greenlit) and long queue (with some talents mentioning the queue is in years) to get a Sololive within Hololive Productions, I am inclined to think it will be more fair to have a more lenient system of commissioning new 3D outfits, while at the same time rewarding those which achieves the previously mentioned milestones.
>With the improved communication pathway between talents and top management mentioned in Cover's report, maybe the talents themselves will bring it up. Hopefully they are able to find a good compromise and we can see some banging 3D outfits from the talents.
