Axel had said since it wasn't really a horror/"Halloween" song and he wanted to focus on Romeo and Cinderella (since it would be overshadowed if he released the 2 back to back like what happened with Bad End Night and Black Cherry) that he decided that the group cover could be released later on versus trying to rush it for a specific deadline. He hasn't said anything (he's usually pretty upfront if there's an issue), but off the top of my head:
- he seems to be silently working on the big group one, last mention of it was when he said that being a part of Lui's cover had him change up how he did some things for bigger group covers because he liked how she did her organization and process
- we know it's not cancelled since Axel's been pretty specific on the amount he spent on projects this year, and he's noted the same amount lost from early summer to just a few weeks ago (he recently said he'd have been out more money if Romeo and Cinderella hadn't been released); so anything he's worked on since then is still in progress
- the last Braid Bro's update I heard was him waiting on stuff from Hakka (Hakka was sick or something) cause he was poking Hakka to get him recordings on stream at one point
- he noted not long ago (2 weeks or so) about finally getting a backing track or something music related so he could finally work on a cover, though no info on which one he meant (I'm guessing it's the one that's his first EN cover)
