Every girl was given the freedom to go their own path, and it just so happened that most of them decided to go with the tried and true "CGDCT" path, while some others like Sora and Fubuki tried to lift up the Stars. Their numbers are no different from each other, the only separation is their entertainment level.
There are plenty of so called "male collabs" with industry level folks like Taku Inoue, or this comedian dude, or other famous figures like Hikakin or what not. No one batted an eye when Okayu was screaming after seeing Hikakin dropping an SC on her member stream. Do you know why? Because JP has no unicorns.
The biggest reason Hololive blew up was that they were entertaining, and it was easy to understand and enjoy the type of entertainment they provided.
Just take ANY clip that brought in the first wave of EOPs to Hololive and you'll see that the single thing common to all of them is that they were entertaining.
This is why Pekora and Gura are high up in the stratosphere, followed by the First Army and Second Army. They all entertain their viewers first and foremost.
And this is also simultaneously the reason why Holostars are at the rock bottom. Those that are entertaining (like Roberu or Nowa) will rise above, while the rest will drown in 3view land.
You might be experiencing this for the first time, but some girls (especially EN ones) are not averse to males or so autistic as to completely stop any interactions with them.
There are others as well, like Gura or Fauna, who prefer the CGDCT route.
