>>107567901Listen I was once like you, Rissa was my first HoloEN oshi. Back in the covid lockdown era I first encountered vtubers and Korone was the one who started it all for me. Mostly a casual watcher and oblivious to the whole idol aspect. Over the years I became more invested into the culture and am now someone who really treasures the idol journey aspect of Hololive. Seeing a goofy, dorky girl transform into a bonafide idol is addictive. Most of these Hololive girls come from modest backgrounds, working hard and doing their best while others are trying to put them down, belittle them or downright despise them. Fills me with joy to see these goofballs succeed in a sea of jealous bystanders.
That's why a lot of us are so protective, we want our girls to complete their journey while we act as shields and supporters. Hololive attracts a lot of saviorfags like me, is what I'm basically saying. You're probably the same and thus Rissa being your oshi is natural because this girl definitely needs saving lol. That's why the bond between fans and talent is crucial and relies on trust, once that bond is broken it's almost impossible to fix it. Hence our concerns regarding Rissa's downward trajectory in alienating her old fanbase in favor of these useless clout chasers orbiting her and stunting her growth. The only thing they want is endless attention from her and sadly Rissa keeps providing them, damaging her own career in the process.
