When neuro (the AI, not the osu bot) started first streaming the LLM was very bad. Vedal got carried hard by using the default vtuber model which is very cute and using one of the pre-made TTS voices that people like.
A lot of these other vtuber projects are doomed from the start because they don't use good models or a good voice. They are ugly or a copy of neuro. If someone else does it they need clout and money to get the ball rolling. A lot of these people fall into the same trap and just think they can stream 24/7 and the AI will print money for them.
Some vtuber agency has to push their AI for it to succeed and it has to be treated like the rest of the ''talent.'' It has to be astroturfed by collabing with the other streamers.
Techwise vedal didn't do anything that can't be done by anyone else. It was just the perfect lightning in the bottle moment. He got in before the anti-AI narratives spread.
Bit part of the success was saying bannable things while newer models are going to be more censored and are less likely to deny the holocaust or talk about shooting people.
It's probably over for any guy in his basement trying to do this. An agency has to do this.
