Or you look at Moriko whose gotten like 10 different models (granted 5 are memes) and has only spent 3k total.
Or you look at Juniper who decided she'd just learn to rig herself, who even if she is admittedly so absurdly autistic that she goes the whole 9 yards with every single model, is still something any indie can replicate with a couple of months of work.
I'm not going to say rigging shouldn't cost a lot, but a lot of the time they're overcharging for a product not worth the price. For example, Limes has an amazing model worth the price because it was made specifically for her and has a fuckton of options and movement beyond looking like she's made of Jello like the atrocity that is Matara's model. It's a retarded practice that only exists as it does because people are willing to look the other way as they're afraid of getting called out for "insulting the core of all Vtubing", when in reality Kevin's products ARE objectively trash specifically because it's cookie-cutter.
