I feel like Ari is being manipulative. I think this whole Zen situation started because Ari was upset that Zen didn't cut Mei off. So Ari slowly pushed away Zen and doing things to make her feel left out. Then when Zen was pushed away far enough and her friends distanced Zen probably kept reaching out and getting increasingly frustrated had a moment of weakness and snapped. We all know how weak her mental is. Ari used that to manipulate everyone and say "look zen bad", and it worked. Ari probably realized having two people mad at her was bad for optics and made up with Mei, but notice how they don't talk or interact still? It's all for appearances. She really was the queen leech.
