I've known people who have gone out and made a living as mercenaries. The dream is being paid to shoot poachers or guard red cross clinics from the odd warlord and his starving militia.
You get to basically do whatever you want and nobody really questions it. The pay is high because there is literally nobody else to do it and to top it off the risk is pretty low since 99 times out of 100 you're better equipped, trained and have a higher quality posse than anyone you're going to run into.
