Tried black mesa again after replaying half life this year and I have to say I did not care for it, sadly.
After getting tired of the game I just about lost my patience when a NIGGER scientist blocks the doorway after sealing you in a room to kill all the alien grunts and vorts before finally letting you into the lambda area.
Of course they do this on purpose, but if you blast his ass down you instalose because you have to wait for him to finish yapping before he opens the eyescanner door for you.
They gutted some parts I liked like On a rail to make room for parts I did not care for in either game.
The one interesting thing for me was realizing that Abiotic Factor was clearly based more on the set design of Black Mesa than Half Life despite aping the visual style of Half Life.
Funny seeing so many girls enjoy it, but it just can't compare in my mind.
