tons of new holo debuts since you left. ID3, EN3 Advent and EN4 Justice, as well as a new branch, Dev_Is, which has 2 gens, ReGloss and FlowGlow.
There are less promos and art created these days but it still happens from time to time.
This thread has less discussion than back then but we've also sort of become a part time thread for a few chuubas (Ayame, Ollie, and Mori's friend Ci)
Dark is still going if you watched that, but streams about every other week at best, and has been in a filler arc for months.
There are a few other feds, one for Nijisanji (that has been on hiatus since around this time last year due to a MASSIVE yab from Niji) called World Daipan Classic, one for mid tier corpo chuubas and indies (has been on hiatus since it finished up its 2nd season last year) called Clash of Chuubas, one for AI related vtuber content (updates infrequently) called Squared Circuit, one for local chuubas from /vt/'s aspiring chuubas thread (updates infrequently) called Extreme Chuuba Wrestling, and one featuring VT League players (new, usually airs as a preshow for VT related content) called Fighting Idol Championship.
Speaking of VT League, if you watched that, /hfz/'s best performance was in VT League 1 at 2nd place. VT League 8 is coming up in a couple months.
Last but not least, we have a VT League-like boardwide event ourselves called Lord of the Board, in which the 3rd concluded last fall.

Which is one of the primary reasons why Advent is gonna start becoming more distant and fragmented than ever. There's a very clear division on their wants and how they're going about things and what they're doing with their careers right now.

FWMC are too busy trying to become Japanese, and anything related to that will always be priority to them. They willing to kill themselves over it harder than Nerissa is dying right now. Like, you really think that if you gave them the option between collabing with Shiori and Nerissa and Korone and Okayu they would go for the former rather than the latter? Or how about Shiori and Fubuki? Honestly, at this point it's no secret as to why Shiori and FWMC have yet to have a solo collab.

Biboo finally took the hint and moved to Japan. She's been slowly making moves towards increasing her JP presence and moving there is just sealing the deal. She's obviously not FWMC-tier of wanting to become Japanese, her move was a normal one, but like I said, she took the hint, and realized that her career will hit a wall sooner or later unless she moves to Japan to be able to access the resources that are only in Japan and obtain a Japan fanbase that no matter how much people pretend otherwise will always be stronger and more valuable than the EN one.
These two have made their priorities very clear. And have the grindset to go for it. One healthier and with more stamina than the other I should add, but you get the point.

This is the Nerissa thread. Shouldn't have to explain anything about her.

Shiori I honestly don't even know what's going on with that woman anymore. I can't tell if she cares or doesn't, if she wants to be there anymore or doesn't. Now, I'm not a numberfag, but I genuinely cringed when I saw how she was dead last in EN in literally every single metric. Something like that is the kind of thing that makes someone rethink their entire life, all their choices that led to that moment, I know being in such a situation would be so for me.
I really don't know what she wants out of being Hololive, because it feels like she doesn't take advantage or use any of the benefits being a Holo provides and if anything it feels like she actively rejects all such benefits. The most upsetting part is that apparently every fucking one at Holo likes her, every time someone goes on about her they have nothing but good things to say about her, just look at how fucking much Mori loves the woman for whatever reason.
I've stopped trying to think about it, trying to make sense of it, because I honestly I just get frustrated. It's such a waste, she could and should do better, much much better, we've got Kiara and Mori going about how Shiori could and should take the lead and become a pillar for EN, that she has everything going for her to do that, but she refuses to do better, for some godforsaken reason that only makes sense to her and only her but all that reason is doing is sending her to the bottom rung.

So, half of them are in Japan grinding, that one half has a very different mentality from the second half in regards of their Holo career and the second half mentalities are also different from those of each other, and unlike Japan that's small, there's the typical US distance separating them too so you can't even have those two being particularly close together in their isolation.
Massive Distances + Vastly Different Priorities = Friendship DEATH

All this said, despite sounding like a doomposter, I really wish things could be better.
I really hope a miracle happens this 2025.
But I just don't see it happening. They're called miracles for a reason.

Bae's speech is a bootlicker version because it's very I-oriented and shutting down speculation and not giving a sense of closure (even if that was realistic). She says things have changed and she's happy to be there. Even though Fauna's main issue was with management which is a huge overview for everyone. It doesn't feel good and weird.

Mori's speech is more personal and talks about her experience but also how others will differ in experiences. She doesn't shut down speculation (because it'll fucking happens anyways) and offers extra perspective about the situation. It's more I-language but at the very least, there's a sense of mutual respect from this one. This at least acknowledges Fauna's issue being a thing and it feels better.

Considering Mori has been through so much rrat bullshit, she delivered this much better than Bae. They're not much different in main message but the contents have different things to chew on

Now let's digest this. First of all, Ame blasted streams, so there were more opportunities to collab. However, I want you to take note of IRyS, Fauna, Mumei, Bae, and Kronii. Aside from Kronii, the collab numbers are very small. Many of the other gens had more collective collabs. I'll chalk up Kronii's extra involvement in her guilt of feeling like she didn't get to know Ame well enough. Clearly that doesn't apply to Fauna, as they had years of collabs together.

My point is, I don't think the Fauna collab situation is all that unusual given how busy Promise is. Yes, Biboo, Nerissa, Gigi, and Cecilia are collabing a ton, but they also either are from younger gens that have a lot more free time, or are generally considered to be power streamers that just stream to stream.
