I don’t think this is a full-on “Selen shock” yet since it didn’t permanently cripple the company, but this feels like Phase’s equivalent of the "nijien discord leak" that marked the beginning of the end. They’re not the “based” company anymore and it planted the seed for people to start being wary of both their talents and their fanbase, similar to how the Discord leak made holo fans wary of nijien. Their handling of this drama exposed how weak they actually are when it comes to dealing with a major blowup. They lost Asmongoloid, the fanbase is in the middle of a civil war, and while dramatubers and containment-breaking faggots are still trying to deflect (fully expecting Parrot, Rima, and Doxxagi to drop a Nimi/Randon video instead of covering the Jelly yab), the damage is already done. Another major incident like this and it’s game over for Sakana.
