Hello liggermen It's that time of month were we count everything up and see who the top 25 for October 2024 were in CCV. This month will feature the debut of Dooby, who streamed the minimum 3 streams required to qualify for numbers. Much Like Kirsche, I will be combining her youtube averages with her twitch averages for a total average. This month I had to take the Giri/Squ approach with Layna and manually average out her IRL streams, unfortunately the removal of the flesh streams made her just miss the bottom of the list with a 2,004 CCV.
Top 25 for October 2024:
1: Dooby (22,202 CCV, NA)

Notes:
>Overall viewership was mostly stagnant with a few notable downs. It's an interesting turn of events because the last two Octobers have been huge viewership months, which this year's bucks that trend. As this was on the heels of an abnormally strong September, it seems that viewership balanced out between the two months to make it more even than up and down.
>Dooby makes her debut at #1 with a strong mixed Youtube/twitch CCV average. I expect as time goes on for her to regulate down more towards what we traditionally see from indies in our space at between the 5k-7k levels, which will still put her regularly in the top 5
>Neuro had a huge upswing in viewership (up 25%), and a lot of that is due to halloween themed streams and focus on Evil for the month. It made for great themeing and really got their fan's attention. It will be interesting to see if Vedal goes for more Holiday themed events in the future.
>Mint Fantome has been steadly climbing the last few months since her debut as a middle of the pack ligger, and she came out swinging this month with a redebut and multiple events that put her over the 4K threshold. Part of that is event buffs so she will tick down next month, however she's living comfortably in the 3k neighborhood now and is viewed with many in the vtuber space as a safe collab partner for almost all corpos. She's basically become what Pikamee used to be.
>Most of the downs this month were minor and within error margins, however the biggest one was Squchan. She went drom being in the top 25 last month to not even being close to the list this month at 1,807 CCV, an eye watering 42% (1,000+ viewers) fall off month to month. Looking at her numbers, what has killed it for her has been her subathon. Once again, a vtuber starts a subathon with a good turn out for about a week and then viewership drops off a cliff starting around day 10 to the point it destroys their live viewership average. This has happened multiple times this year, and you can actually already see a similar decline to Megalodon's current subathon after one week. The cold, hard fact that vtubers need to face is that most viewers outside of your very dedicated bases tune out after about a week and it's overall more harmful to your health, your community, and your viewership to do it past that.
That's all i have for you this month. Have a fantastic night liggas, I'll see you at the /lig/ vtubers live round up.
