We didnt want Jelly to quit. We just didnt want her to bend the knee to the twitter freaks and apologize, as she didnt do anything wrong. Holding and voicing an opinion as mild as 'I dont want politics in my block game' is not wrong. This is a key thing that dumbasses dont understand about voicing an unhurtful opinion and immediately jumping on the CANCEL THEM bandwagon - its modern day McCarthyism, but to these whackjobs its completely justified because the ball landed on their side of the fence.
Now to address the copypasta criticism. Yes, that 'DLC' is optional and yes its part of Minecrafts educational wing. Jelly's opinion is still valid. Do we need that crap in a block game, especially when prefaced with an incredibly stupid catchphrase which at the time was uttered by a governor mired in a multibillion-dollar Somalian fraud scheme? No. And Minecrafts educational arm is lackluster at best anyway, as evidenced by their poor 'teaching' of geology (look to the Youtuber Gneiss Name for examples). Maybe if schools and teachers taught our kids we wouldnt be leaning so hard on entertainment to do it.
I again bring up how mild Jelly's complaining was compared to Kaminara Clara's celebration and glorification of Charlie Kirk's murder (on her alt account shortly after it happened) and the total lack of public repercussion she got. Oh, until a day or so after PC insinuated Jelly was being racist for that tweet. Gee whiz, what a co-winky-dink. And thats not even going into Kevin pushing the talents (plural) into unfollowing Asmongold.
People who dont watch Phase Connect dont understand. Aside from some gentle prodding, they used to be known for being very hands-off in regard to talent content. They used to be more underdog and less corpo, and never threw talent under the bus. Hell, one of the reasons why Kevin decided to do their own con was of how Offkai threatened Pippa. By essentially doing nothing, PC survived four or five years with less than that graduations while much bigger corpos torpedo'd and sank.
But here we are. Bending the knee to people who dont even consume their content for brownie points. PC's public apology came so swiftly it was premptive. Its a betrayal of the standards we thought the company stood behind and built their foundation upon, pure and simple. Phase Connect used to be different, but it turns out Shondo was right: all corpos are dumb and we're idiots for putting our goodwill and faith into one.
