with non-payment, keep in mind that it wasn't just the talent, it was tens of artists as well who all weren't paid for 9 months but didn't say anything publicly until it exploded. that should give you an idea of how much trust there was in the company even from people who hadn't personally experienced a lot of support from them. so talents mouse and michi, who first hand had a lot of non-monetary help from vshojo for a long time up until issues started, would trust them enough to go a long time without being paid
this also explains why current talent weren't talking to each other about non-payment, it has nothing to do with NDAs. they thought it was only them that had missed payments, if they knew it was systemic this would have come out way sooner. every single one of them who spoke at length about the blowup had said that they didn't know the others were in the same boat
with former talents not talking about it, they just wanted to put it behind them as well as they knew that mtd was turning all of them against each other and didn't want to have to deal with that. silver already felt slandered and knew she wouldn't get anywhere because gun had been awful to her personally, vei walked away because she had stability with soda, nyan and mouse's friendship had been fucked up by mtd but nyan also didn't want to hurt mouse by putting the company in a bad light because mouse relied on the company more than anybody else
when it comes to mel, originally everything negative about her was rightfully being dismissed as mtd shitstirring after he was caught /here/ red handed a few days after the first bombshell, but even those who wanted to believe her like myself are now extremely skeptical because none of the others are talking about her besides zen wishing her good luck in restarting streaming. she still could be entirely innocent considering that apek was obviously excellent at hiding things and manipulating others (also remember, people have lived with serial killers and had no fucking idea. it happens), but clearly the other talents aren't showing any trust publicly right now and that's a bad sign
