I'm happy for Mint because she was always good and deserves the success based on pure quality and merit, but it breaks my heart knowing that we should've been significantly bigger based on that same quality by now. There was a large influx of people into Phase once Nijisanji started to implode but it seems not many of them remained with us, which only raises more questions regarding where they've gone. Though it is possible they all really did end up with Mint and Doki and thus in their own ecosystem (meaning they watch chuubas Mint and Doki collab with, are friends with etc.) but the numbers still kinda don't add up. It's like a tangible number of people went up in a puff of smoke.
There is nothing wrong with our grand strategy in terms of our content and vibe, we just somehow have to catch the next wave of people who are in search of girls to watch. Appealing to normalfags and fleshtubers is not a viable strategy, appealing to the grifter circles even less so (since they hijack content to be a parrot repeating their beliefs back at them), so the only goal for growth as a whole is to make ourselves visible at a crucial time - and if possible get a few invaders out of a collapse of this or that corpo, if the girl is worth it. Both Mint and Doki would've been great boons for instance. Hell even the Doob would've been better than nothing. This however raises another issue - a lot of bigger chuubas with established audiences may not need a corpo at all. As we have seen people tend to stick with and follow their girls. I've seen Lemonleaf's sub count go from about 30k to some 200k last time I checked it and that was within a day and a half. Ergo, I propose this strategy for Phase:
A wide net, not based on names. We need to form a wide, horizontal system where our girls collab with small and TINY indies not as a special event or some high effort stream, but just as a kind of regular stream. This would make it possible to get our name out there and also help small and tiny chuubas get visibility. In human terms our girls should be allowed to collab with and bring literal whos on stream if they're friendly with them. The goal isn't to groom these girls into joining us as much as Phase becoming a kind of hub, a decentralized gathering place where we reach the whole community and scene while maintaining our own brand and vibe.
