Well, luckily he maintained the actual good part, base Homestuck, as self-contained canon before trooning out, like in a last act of sanity and honesty.
We need chud art that is more like Homestuck. There are mspa fan adventures lile that, but my point is that chud, or even just neutrally commited to art, often tend to lean into the ironic without ever coming back to sincerity, probably as a defense mechanism to the hostile environment towards actual art without agendas or because they are addicted to the high of being a transgressive underdog (which is ironic given that troons probably feel the same despite most institutions supporting them to unfair extents).
But I digress. Homestuck (original) is good for reasons that should not be tainted with culture wars, as shown by the decline of quality of what was produced under the era of trooned!Hussie.
