Hey guys, resident sperg here. Heard all of y'all were bemoaning the lack of sperging, so I'm just gonna say why I'm not around a lot anymore. I kinda got a decent understanding of the whole Mouse - Zen drama and after that there was really no reason for me to be here, lest more things come out to sperg about.
Mouse started ghosting Zen due to her being upset over how Zen had threatened to leave VShojo in March. During this time, she was getting closer to Zen's friends and had made an exclusive friend group with them which implicitly did not include Zen because it was Mouse's group. Zen got upset over this because she didn't want to see her friends slip away from her because of some postcocious latina that refused to talk things out. This caused Zen to try to forcefully resolve the issue, which due to VTubers being dysfunctional clowns, only lead to them coddling Mouse harder to avoid partaking.
This, in combination with the company-sanctioned bullying of Matara, the impending economic crashlanding that they had all been praying away for the past year, and the Ari-sanctioned bullying of Mei, lead to the fight escalating massively.
At first, Zen called Mouse out by vagueposting on stream, which lead to the fight escalating to where Mouse argued she was "totally valid and in the right" for ghosting Zen, simply because "she didn't enjoy the collabs". Subsequently everyone else was dragged into the fight and giving their piece of the matter. After many flare-ups throughout the month of June, Zen quit VShojo and Mouse subsequently retaliated by telling VchiBan to block her (only one who didn't was Roseadoodle). Ari who had ended up caught between Team Mouse and (team) Zen was given an ultimatum by either condemning Mouse, or being dropped by Zen. Ari chose not to condemn Mouse, and got dropped and blocked, after which she tried to get to Zen via Mei and Papamutt, something which gravely upset them enough to call it out in tweets. At the first of July, the issue seems to have resolved itself, and Zen had forgiven Ari, only for her to turn around and slap Zen in the face with a double back-to-back collab with Mouse. This was the final straw for Zen who firmly broke all communications.
Apart from a tweet from Papa calling out the "Highschool drama" from all parties involved (Where Ari tried to make it seem like she wasn't one of said parties in a now deleted tweet responding to him), the month of July didn't hold much.
In August however, Mei confronted Ari about her being ghosted, after which she got a response about "being too annoying" from Ari. Mei confided with Zen, and Zen, still being resentful of Ari, used that as a springboard to confront Ari, causing Ari to firmly cut ties with Zen (we know this because she removed her Zen-Ari emotes a few moments later). Zen then got drunk, and proceeded to type out a (all things considered for being drunk) decently professional separation statement which quickly made the more fanatical geckos (because telling people not to won't work) to harass Ari. This made Zen rescind the message, probably at the behest of Heavenly.
After a drunken crashout stream from Zen thereafter, Ari responds with a short stream that was probably agreed upon by both Zen and Ari, as some form of recompense for the tort of having made the call-out. The stream holds a lot of easy things to disprove, but Zen chose not to in favor of not dragging more parties into the conflict.
After all of these things happened, only a few things seem clear. The group that Mouse made initially seems to still exist, and they all appear to have collectively decided to avoid Zen, even if Zen doesn't hold the same resentment back. We also know that according to Mei, the problem is not discussed openly as much as it ought to be because it would cause undue distress for the people that should, according to her, be made more aware of the full picture. We also know that Zen has tried resolving the problem but is getting rebuked by Ari-Mouse because they keep escalating the demands for compensation from Zen every time she does something for them.
