The black swan event was the hack and subsequent exodus, frustration had been growing, amplified by the April fools event and when alternatives presented themselves the embers of passion that had been buried for so long suddenly roared into life once more and it was clear they could never burn this way on /vt/ again. The death knell tolled and /vt/ is now much the same as the other boards unable to protect their culture, a shell of its former self.
