Memory is actual japanese girlfailure and without something extreme like Pico moving in with her there she was always going to struggle. Loki and Yuu are a pair and clearly "together" in the gen. Pico is a powerhouse. Clara is a gaijin. Memory is a regular japanese streamer, and those are wildly unsuccessful per capita. She needed someone else in the gen to go viral so that her possible audience even knows she exists.
Management needed to run actual JP fan events and community servers or something that allows the JP viewers to sustain a community of their own. Since there is no JP infrastructure, that was never going to happen.
This was an entirely avoidable departure but would have taken additional effort that is deemed not worth the time.
