If what you say is true it's possible that the messages were getting in the way of, and distracting her from what she wanted to share while she was live. This happens often in the vtuber world. A vtuber will be telling a story, and then they'll have a squirrel moment, and brain fart in the middle of telling a story in order to keep up with chat.
I sincerely think streamers (vtubers included) should make chat emote only, and only VIP chatters who they can handle, and won't worsen their scatter brains. I unfortunately don't know any ways for streamers to find suitable matches to their flow of conversations, and tempo. The entire site is a mess, and a home for poor communication.
