It can feel a bit soulcrushing sometimes, especially when you put effort into it, but life happens (outside the general), so I get it.

I use photojoin to quickly merge images into one so I understand the pain of images cutting off. Personally I'm a lazy bastard so I just go on photoshop and add 1 black line separating both images instead of going through the trouble of re-inpainting, but I suppose using white backgrounds helps
