>>100153360Fascism is the inevitable conclusion of neoliberalism. Neoliberalism demonizes government as being inherently evil and inefficient while billionaires are deified as the pillars of society who's genius is unparalleled and are the true beacons of innovation.
This has inherently authoritarian implications because the corporate ladder structure is inherently dictatorial by design. It's built on the idea that success is built the genius singular visionary, rather than through collective effort.
Such a system is not only permissive of oligarchy, but glorifies it as morally righteous, equating wealth with morality, intelligence, and worth ethic, and poverty as a just punishment for being unworthy. It's Social Darwinism, but with money.
So these oligarchs will their new unelected government power, will create distractions to take over the government (blaming minorities, Great Replacement, the deep state, "welfare for deadbeats") as a way to paint the government itself as the "enemy within." The pipeline inevitably goes from painting regulations as red tape to painting democracy itself as red tape. The oligarchs then delegitimize every independent democratic institution to stoke anti-intellectualism so that they can buy a dictator with a cult of followers who will protect the rich while masquerading as a populist.
