>>100276477Let me make things simple for you, dumbud:
1) No, I am not making a "content argument" or suggesting they were explicitly shutting down all of her ideas right out of the gate. I am arguing a) that management is retarded and lazy, and b) that their interference with certain ideas' execution ruined them (see them trying to mangle her voice to shit in Full Color). If the problem was solely with the mixers she'd given the song to being lazy or not doing what she wanted, then why the fuck wouldn't she just have sacked them and replaced them with a different team who would do what she actually wanted instead? The only explanation that makes sense would be that the obstacles came from retarded non-creatives trying to micromanage creatives, as usual. Or do you think her graduation live was so raw and had no production for no reason?
2) Even if I was making the strawman argument you're attacking here, Gura has alluded to the company seeing her as a brand risk before. Even Marine has told us that managers would get mad at her and tell her not to do things she wants to do, in her view to "protect" her.
Now consider statements from other girls like Mori and Kiara about how everyone's situation is unique and how their own satisfaction doesn't invalidate the other girls' grievances. What's "insanely stupid" is the idea that a "company mascot" like Gura would be treated exactly the same as other talents, when someone like Shiori can do whatever the fuck she wants and no one cares because she's a runt. Apples to oranges.
3) Your headcanon is inconsistent with what Gura herself has told us as well as the lyrics themselves. Ash Again was not supposed to be a graduation song and they started working on it back in 2023. She never says anything that could be remotely construed as calling for the company to be torn or burnt down. "And they all say, tear it down, burn it down" wouldn't make sense if it referred to Cover or Hololive, because "they all"
retarded naysayers weren't telling her to destroy the company in 2023 - they were saying she should graduate and "burn down" her career/identity/success as Gura. Obviously.
As for the lyrics that actually COULD be reasonably interpreted as reflecting poorly on the company - "the hands that pull at my thread" and "and no more hands upon my words, they only speak for me" being the chief examples - you're trying to use the fact that Gura complained about them controlling what she can do/say to argue that they didn't control what she did/said. These are some of the most idiotic mental gymnastics I've ever seen, anon. Especially considering that this was actually a special case, and given the timing of its release (first stream after the grad announcement) once it DID wind up basically becoming her graduation song, there was likely some sort of arrangement where she forced their hand in a way that she wasn't able to do so in the past (just like she wasn't subjected to the usual minimum stream requirements because you'd have to be beyond even JP corpo levels of retarded to outright terminate Gawr fucking Gura).
Just one obvious possibility that comes to mind: seeing as she owns the copyright, what if instead of doing what she did and ending her career in the company by leaving Cover with a fucking banger and maybe raising a few eyebrows at most, she'd released the song *after* graduating on either her PL or reincarnation account? It's actually kind of remarkable to think just how much fucking WORSE it could have looked for them.
And yet here you are, desperately shilling and shamelessly glazing corporate cock in your pretty little cheerleader outfit to try and convince us that the reason they covered their own asses is... because they're oh-so benevolent, kind, generous and permissive and dindu nuffin wrong ever, and just ignore aaaaaaaall of the cases of talents' projects being shot down or locked in production hell because of meddling and/or incompetence by the pencil pushers. It would be sad if it weren't so funny.
>>100276993Holy mother of blatant shilling and cope. This does not follow at all, as I've already explained above. There ALREADY IS no possible way to interpret the song the way you have, and Cover corp recognizing that fact does not magically make them no longer Cover corp, you incorrigible fucking retard. Get a god damn grip.
