>>100336643The absolute core, is the artist retroactively claiming merely engaging in discussion on discord over what a commission might cost if you were to commission them with an artist means, in the artists 'totally not bullshiting, trying to scam you I swear' mind, you owe said artist for flat 40hr weeks during any period discussion takes place, at a rate they retroactively set, without them ever having to tell you or seek agreement before when they try to charge you for it because obviously that is just how this works (it isn't)
The trouble is when taken out of the dramafarmer and artists carefully edited to try and obscure this lens, papering over it because its very inconvenient, this obviously is bullshit to anyone whose ever interacted at all with how commissions work, on either side of potential client or artist, or has any real life experience or baseline common sense (Hence why the sisters apparently dont understand why everyone isn't turning on doki and thought this genuinely would bring down the evil that hurt their precious listed company)
