When it's your main income yeah, it is an issue.
When it's a case of "I'm going to do X" and it never happens, yeah, it becomes a worry.
But I offered, nothing happened, that was it, whatever happens happens.
I say this entirely because people were worrying about trying to constantly help others, perhaps you missed it.
Sometimes it is simply not worth the hassle.
