Non competes are much weaker than people think and very difficult to enforce, and require things like a good reason (and "we don't want her to leave" is not a good reason), a limited timespan, and compensation. I don't know how it works in Japan, though.
In any case, I think if you've put in 3-5 sold years in Hololive, nobody can be that mad when you leave. Fauna, Mumei, Gura all did their time, they contributed to the company pretty heavily. It's a blow to lose them, but it's not some betrayal.
That indie candidate from that reddit thread is talking about blatantly and consciously planning to pump and dump Holo from day one, and I don't think anyone can argue any of the graduates we've had this past year planned to do that.
