Neutral take: Cover hooked her up with the composer and mixer and writer and all that. She herself said she didn't like the way they fucked with her voice in some songs. The thing about It's Not a Phase is that it was announced when Mumei and Fauna got their goth and emo outfits with a release window of sometime in May. After May had passed the only update we got after that was that it was stalled indefinitely and there was nothing more the girls could do about it at that point. This leads me to believe that there isn't some slow pipeline that stalled the song's release but rather that the initial version was scraped and that this upset Fauna and Mumei. The version we got was something Mumei put together and was likely a compromised version compared to what they initially wanted to release because Mumei just wanted to get the song out before Fauna graduated.

Seems like Cover's support just fucking sucks for Fauna and Mumei in particular.

Just depends how many things you have runnung at once. People like Kiara and Mori are constantly working on multiple songs, so when one stalls, the others are still churning away. It's the same reason why you see FWMC get all mopey when one of their songs has issues, it's likely all they have for the next few months and it feels like they'll never put anything out if the one of 2 or 3 songs being worked on gets sidelined for a while because of whatever internal issues. I still don't know how talents manage to put out albums with how much of a clusterfuck Cover has shown themsekves to be on the back end.

It's the only way to keep consistant with your releases though and shows why people like Mori, Kiara, and Irys all have focus on their music. People like FWMC claim to really want to do the idol side of things, and they do get on Lives, but they have very little to show for their own personal channel because they aren't focusing ENOUGH on their own channel and content. Add in stuff like the massive amounts of merch pushing and corporate direct work they've been doing and it's no wonder you see their channel hit the shitter in terms of actual output.

It was announced to be released in May, but there is a good chance it was supposed to be out already for their outfit reveals, same way Kronii had a song prepared for hers too (but that was just a cover I think). So May was already the compromise, and then it was lost in production/management hell till it was rushed for Fauna's graduation (the MV was cute enough, but I doubt it was their vision).
