Gura liked being a vtuber but she hated management. Cover burned their bridges with Gura in 2023 and she absolutely hated that pedobait daki. She didn't need to release a daki (and certainly didn't need a sleazy daki) so it always felt like a soulless management decision to boost merch sales. The recent wave of graduations would indicate that several talents had lost faith in Hololive. A corpo vtuber is limited by their employer so Sameko Saba will be genuine.

Cover did something that caused Gura to be so angry that she chose Ash Again as her last song before she left Hololive. There have been 7 graduations recently and 6 of them have already indicated they are going to be indie vtubers. It sure feels like management has been doing a lot of stuff behind the scenes that the talents absolutely hated.

As for the pedobait daki why did Gura mention that her daki had "chubby baby arms"? Why mention to viewers how low her shirt is on the daki art? Why mention that she was embarrassed because she kept muttering yabe under her breath? Wouldn't this only make sense if Cover had chosen the art for her daki? If she was really comfortable with grown men getting horny for her child like design why did she never release another daki? Why didn't see take the affiliate deal so that Hololive could keep selling her merch?

Do you think Cover is running a charity when they own all of the copyrights and trademarks? Gura could have released a pedobait daki every year for a decade and earned millions. Her RM will lose a huge amount of money by leaving Hololive and the market is much tougher for an indie vtuber.

They don't own anything in Hololive and have to follow extremely strict idol rules so they only stay because of the money. That means the ones leaving were so angry with management they didn't mind earning less as indies.

The fact that so many did quit though means they either hated management or they completely lost confidence in the direction of Hololive.
