Yes. The game, and the algorithm. Game because many people, me included, will both watch someone new if the game interests me, and skip someone I like if they're playing a game that doesn't. The counterpoint is that it's a game that usually generates good yap in collabs, which somewhat counteracts the effect from "don't like this game"/"already seen this game more than enough times".
And algorithm because YouTube works in weird ways and nobody outside of Google really knows why it recommends some streams to tons of people who have never watched that person, and then doesn't recommend other streams even to subscribers unless they've changed the notification setting to all for the channel. I know that stream wasn't blessed by the algorithm because I'm subbed to Nimi, I was scrolling when it was on, and your post is the first I heard about it.

I replied with a screenshot showing that it has to be because of the very low amount of unique chatters relative to her ccv.
Someone else posts a Nimi graph trying to imply hers is botted.
I replied with the full stream showing that it's most likely not botted, and related it to the earlier Mori stream.
Again, I didn't "swoop in" here to defend Nimi. I was here commenting about Mori's stream when someone else replied to me with Nimi's.
