>>100998140I get that and I appreciate it. I personally think a lot more thought and effort goes into all she does than she likes to admit on stream, which makes sense I guess, to not bore the audience there for the show with behind the scenes tedious stuff and uphold this carefree image.
I feel like it's a different way of treating streaming altogether compared to the og streaming scene, it feels much closer to a "show" she's putting on than just broadcasting herself.
It has its upside and downsides, on the one hand she keeps things entertaining at all times and I think this is reflected in her stream numbers and how even now you constantly see people come in for the first time in her streams, though I imagine this also means she has a pretty high turnover rate for viewers comparatively, without actually having anything to back that up (so feel free to correct me if you have data on that.). But on the flipside it feels like Filian herself becomes secondary, at least compared to other streamers/vtuber communities, which imo is what mainly results in Filian having such a, relative to her size, "inactive" community outside of streams. People treat it more like a show to tune in to, like late night tv, and then forget about again, compared to seeing her as a "friend" to hang out with, like is for normal streaming. (Whether that's good is a whole different thing, but I don't think anyone would argue that this parasociality is what drives a LOT of streaming communities).
But this trend of "show business-fying" streaming is a lot more than just Filian, if anything it's odd that someone on the older side like Filian is doing this, it's much more in line with the new wave like Kai Cenat I feel.
