So I am a little curious about what people here think about Vtubers having long-term partners off-screen?
I always assumed that for HoloEN, fans of this category are less "unicorn-like" and are generally more accepting of the talents having partners outside of their work-time.
My reasoning is that those of us that grew up with Western entertainment culture (such as Hollywood) were not really shaken by celebrities having multiple partners, getting married, having children etc.
But then on this board for a very long time, I noticed just open hostility towards Holostars, especially if female talents collab'd with male talents. Not saying this kind of behaviour is relegated to Japanese idol culture, but it's a bit surprising to me.
Is it just that the collaboration is done in a forward-facing manner instead of being concealed from you? I understand the unicorn gachikoi fan dynamic (in HoloJP context) but for the EN side, is it just autistic schizo roleplay or are people really opposed to the idea?
