Like I know that Mio is a great singer, but I don't actually like listening to her singing. And I know that Choco isn't a good singer, but I consistently enjoy listening to her. Talent and skill isn't all there is to singing, a lot of it is just down to personal preference and what sounds good to each person. Some of it is a matter of emotional connection, that it's more enjoyable to a person when they care about the singer, because they care about them. Such a factor has nothing to do with their voice at all, and certainly nothing to do with their talent. Some of it though is just people feeling the need to defend literally anything, even when they don't actually hold strong opinions on the matter. Of course there are other factors, but I would say those are at least, significant.
