>>101471016Terminating Twisty, in and of itself, and without any outside context, might not have any particular impact on the stock value.
But the problem Niji had (still has?) is that outside context. They didn't simply fire her, they did it right after she called them out on PL. The timeline went something like this:
>Monday: Lulu streams, puts out a statement which is essentially "I was sexually harassed by a coworker for months, the company knew about it and did nothing to him, they punished me for making them publicly acknowledge my harassment report, they tried to pressure me into withdrawing my claims, and I have the receipts to prove it">Tuesday: Niji EN nukes all of Twisty's vods, locks down her twitter, removes her merch from the storefront, and removes her from the talent roster pageActually terminating her right before or right after unpersoning her would have had the appearance of whistleblower retaliation, even with the claim that they actually fired her for totally unrelated reasons, and that appearance of retaliation would have been noticed by the investors. I mean obviously it looks like retaliation because it is; but by putting out the official notice on a Saturday, and by not putting out any sort of official notice other than a single tweet in English on the EN twitter account, their retaliation against her is less likely to be noticed by the investors.
Note that I said "less likely." There's fuck-all they can do to prevent Lulu or False from publishing her receipts, short of actually firing Aster for sekuhara, and also firing the managers who protected him for their actions
