Train rat is more of a side grade given how close it is to just being Ame with different clothes. Hell I'd even say I prefer the new look because the black and white locks of hair are more eye-catching. Even if it is blatantly ripping off Mumei.

Yellow bird is an actual upgrade. Purple dragon always looked fucking dumb.

Funny thing about train rat.
It used to be closer to Ame with pure blonde hair and some other features, but after seeing Doki's reveal, she panicked and had to do last minute changes to the design because she looked too similar to her. She mentioned it during one of their collabs and I think it's a good thing. I really like the hair she has now.

caucasian brown hair is prone to lighten with enough sun exposure. most people here are neets and darkies of some sort and dont notice it.
Mark Hamill's the best example of this, he didn't lighten or darken it through dyes, just spent less time outside.
