Women will "go to cool off" and in actuality they're just seething and fuming and festering. Men are also just significantly more autonomous; it's sometimes said as a joke, but men really can just be content for months on end hyper-focusing on their hobbies or personal interest, whereas women typically can't. I bring that quality up because men are, ironically, more accepting of "just letting somebody do their own shit in private" or otherwise earnestly ignoring/tolerating other people because they actually understand and value privacy.
