Probably the worst moment of her life was getting to know Elira and the other indies in that orbit. They were all joining Niji as a progressive gay squad, and they asked Mint to join them. Since she was rejected from Holo she took the next best offer. She was still working a shit office job, she had medical problems and bills to pay, she couldn't sit around forever streaming to 100 people.
In Niji she clearly tried to emulate the Hololive model. People called her Holo-lite, and her fans were largely drawn off from Holo. This can hardly be because of "leeching" rather it's because Holo had set the mold for the whole industry, and she was secretly a holo fan all along.
Her departure from NijiEN was a massive career-risk. It's like jumping off a moving train without knowing if the ground is soft. Nobody can deny that was a massive leap she took. Remember she did this right as the branch was gearing up for 1 year straight of goodies and handouts including spectacular 3D performances, song projects, collaborations, and she was turning all of that down.
The reason Kiara invites her on, is because Mint and Kiara are birds of a feather who flock together. The reason Matara likes her is for similar reasons.
Also how can you consider Phase inviting her "leeching" when her viewership outclasses theirs combined? Sure they gave her something in return, but they had good reason to since she was the biggest draw to their show.
