Even if we exclude the obvious thots, regardless of dimension, the point here is that the virtual e-girl strangely get a pass for doing the same exact bullshit as any normal e-girl.
There are countless e-girls out there that fits the vtubers archetype minus the avatar, doing random noises, pretending to be some kind of anime or cosmic entity, pretending to be an introvert gamer girl when I've yet to see a single girl that can pass the first 3 levels of a fucking Mario game without dying once, singing on stream, being a memelord or a complete sexual degenerate.
The point is, those girls have always existed and have streaming for years while having their own dedicated community of simps. What changed is that the animefags insulting them for being 3DPD jumped on the vtubing wagon and it miracously became acceptable to be an e-girl as long as you're wearing an anime avatar, despite the fact that they are both doing the same exact shit.
I've always said back then than the Melody case was an extremely important and interesting one. Melody is, literally, a cam-whore. But since she's an anime cam-whore, it magically became fine. Her fans will argue shit like "but she's really a sweet girl honest" without realizing that there are plenty of other cam-whores out there who are exactly like her. Believing that Melody is the only one of its kind, personality-wise I mean, is just being completely ignorant.
